Welcome

I am so glad you are here. My name is Caleigh, and I am a registered clinical psychologist offering online therapy to adults, adolescents and couples in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

I aim to offer a therapeutic space that is warm, thoughtful, and emotionally holding - a space where difficult experiences can be explored with care, curiosity, and compassion.

My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful psychological change happens within relationships. Often, the difficulties we experience in the present are connected to earlier relational experiences that continue to shape how we understand ourselves, relate to others, and navigate the world.

People often come to therapy at a point where something no longer feels sustainable. You may be coping well on the outside while feeling emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself internally. Therapy offers a space to slow things down and to explore these experiences with care, curiosity, and attention.

My Approach

My approach is relational and psychodynamically informed. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we work to understand the emotional patterns, attachment dynamics, and relational experiences that underlie your current difficulties.

Therapy is a collaborative process that unfolds over time and at a pace that feels emotionally safe. We pay attention to what emerges both in your life and within the therapeutic relationship itself, as this often provides important insight into longstanding patterns of relating.

I do not offer quick fixes or prescriptive answers. Instead, therapy involves thoughtful reflection, increased self-understanding, and the gradual development of new ways of relating to yourself and others.

"The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed."
— Carl Jung

Therapy, in this sense, is not something that happens to you, but something that develops between us.

What You Can Expect

In our work together, I aim to offer a therapeutic space that is thoughtful, contained, and non-judgemental. Alongside depth and reflection, there is room for warmth, humour, and lightness where it feels appropriate. You can expect warmth, attentiveness, and respect, as well as careful exploration of thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns.

You do not need to arrive with a clear narrative or defined goals. Therapy can begin wherever you are, and we make sense of things together over time. While the process may at times feel challenging, it is always guided by care and emotional attunement.

Training and Professional Registration

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as well as the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the United Kingdom.

My training includes work with individuals and couples across a range of psychological and relational difficulties. I engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to support ethical, reflective practice.

Beginning Therapy

Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, particularly if you are used to managing things on your own. You do not need to have the right words or a clearly defined problem.

If something here resonates with you, you are welcome to get in touch. Therapy can be a supportive space to explore yourself more deeply, at a pace that feels right for you.
